About the Autopilot kit
What is Autopilot.PK?
Autopilot.PK supplies automatic ignition kits for conventional gas geysers in Pakistan. The kit lights your geyser’s burner with an electronic spark whenever gas is available after load shedding or a pressure drop, so you get hot water without climbing up to relight it by hand.
What is an automatic gas geyser ignition system?
It is a small electronic unit added to a gas geyser that lights it for you. Instead of pressing the pilot button and using the igniter or a match every time the flame goes out, the unit lights the burner with an electronic spark whenever gas is available.
Do I need to buy a new geyser?
No, in most cases. The Autopilot kit is a retrofit: it fits existing gas geysers that use the conventional unitrol-type gas thermostat, which covers most storage geysers sold in Pakistan.
Does it need a gas cylinder?
No. The kit uses the same Sui gas supply your geyser already uses. It does not store gas and does not need an LPG cylinder.
Can I control the geyser with a timer or my phone?
Yes. The kit includes a programmable socket that stores up to 20 ON/OFF times, so the geyser runs on your schedule. Add a Wi-Fi switch such as SONOFF to the socket and you can switch it on from your phone before you get home.
How long has the kit been in use?
Autopilot has been working in Pakistani homes for over three years, and no safety incidents have been reported to us by customers in that time.
Compatibility and installation
Which geysers does it work with?
All gas geyser models that use the conventional unitrol-type gas thermostat (the knob with Off, Pilot and On positions). Instant gas geysers usually have their own battery ignition already, so they rarely need it. Send your geyser’s brand and a photo of the thermostat and we will confirm.
Is my main gas line changed?
No. The kit fits at the geyser and works with its own thermostat. Nothing is cut or added on the gas main line.
Who installs it?
A plumber. We provide step-by-step video instructions you can show your regular local plumber, so you do not need a specialist. Plumbers in big cities may charge up to Rs. 3,500 a visit, while a regular local plumber may charge around Rs. 1,500 if no extra work is needed on the geyser.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are delivered by TCS across Pakistan, including smaller cities and towns, usually within 2 working days, with cash on delivery.
Price, savings and safety
How much does the Autopilot kit cost?

Will it reduce my gas bill?
It can. With the kit you no longer need to leave the geyser burning all day “just in case” the gas goes; you can heat water only before you need it, on a timer. The saving depends on how many hours your geyser used to run.
Does it need electricity?
Yes. The device runs on 220V AC and uses about 5 watts, so a power socket is needed near the geyser. It cannot spark during a power cut; when power returns it carries on according to your heating times.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. The ignition controller is covered by a 6-month parts replacement warranty, and all parts are in stock.
Is it safe?
Autopilot has its own gas controller that opens and closes gas automatically, plus an emergency shut-off, and its electronics sit in a weather-proof box. Nothing is changed on the gas main line. Have it fitted as shown in our video, keep the geyser’s flue clear, and call a qualified technician if you smell gas or see damaged fittings.
Does it fix every geyser problem?
No. It solves the geyser going out because of load shedding, low pressure or wind, and because it does not depend on the pilot, a weak pilot no longer stops the geyser starting. A leaking tank, a faulty thermostat or a blocked flue still need repair; our troubleshooting guides explain each one.
